You wake up tired, however long you’ve slept.
Your weight is changing, even though you haven’t changed how you eat.
Your concentration disappears halfway through a sentence.
You feel anxious, overwhelmed or unusually irritable.
Your digestion, reflux or bloating seems to have a mind of its own.
And you’re beginning to wonder whether this is simply what getting older feels like.

Menopause is a significant change in your body. But when every symptom is blamed on hormones, we risk overlooking what else may be asking for attention.
Sleep, stress, blood-sugar changes, nutrition, gut health and the demands of everyday life can all influence how you experience menopause.
HRT can be valuable for many women.
But whether you take it or not, there is still so much you can do to support your body.
The question isn’t simply:
How do I get through menopause?
A more useful question is:
What does my body need now?

93 symptoms recorded on her initial Health Questionnaire
44 migraines a month
Drenching hot flushes
Insomnia
Abdominal pain and bloating
Extreme fatigue
Reflux and heartburn daily
Life had become extremely limiting
Barely surviving each day

91 symptoms resolved
Almost migraine free
No hot flushes
Quality sleep
No digestive issues
Full of energy
No reflux or heartburn
Out and about, exploring new hobbies and enjoying life again
Taking up paddleboarding on the North Sea
Why share such a dramatic transformation?
It's not to suggest that everyone will experience the same results.
It's here to show that however long your symptom list feels,
however much your life has changed and however far away “feeling like yourself” may seem,
you should not assume that nothing can improve.
Every woman is different. But there may still be more to understand, explore and support.
There is always hope.
Individual experiences and results vary

My personalised 12-week 1:1 programme for women who are tired of trying everything and still not feeling like themselves.
Together, we look beyond the menopause label, explore what may be driving your symptoms and create a realistic plan designed around your body and your life.

Not another menopause course, information library or Facebook group.
Hummingbird is a supportive membership for women who want to question what they’ve been told to accept about menopause, understand what their bodies are trying to communicate and feel supported by women who truly get it.
The founding membership opens soon.

I’m a registered nutritional therapist and certified Metabolic FLAG Fasting Coach, specialising in menopause, metabolic health and persistent reflux, based near Newcastle, supporting clients in person and online across the UK.
As a postmenopausal woman who has navigated menopause without HRT, I understand how important it is to look beyond hormones alone.
I don’t believe women should be expected to tolerate feeling exhausted, overwhelmed or unlike themselves.
My personal experience has been without HRT, but my approach is not anti-HRT. I support women with or without it. My work is curious, practical and personal, looking beyond labels to help you understand what your body may be trying to communicate.

Wow! the results have been incredible! After suffering 3 years of debilitating migraine, fatigue, heartburn and acid reflux I decided enough was enough and embarked on Lisa’s EmpowerHer Programme. I must have ticked every ailment on the list scoring 5 (most severe) against each concern. Within 3 months most of my concerns dropped to 0 and my transformation was incredible. Fast forward 3 months and I no longer suffer debilitating migraine, fatigue, heartburn or acid reflux. I am now living my best life with literally a spring in my step.
Excellent experience with Lisa, I had lots of issues with my gut, bowel, sleep etc. the sessions with Lisa were very informative and educational and supported me to make the changes necessary to transform my life for the better. My health is now back on track as a result of all Lisa’s support. Lisa is very friendly, and supportive with tons of knowledge on health, nutrition and a whole host of other advice and tips on nutrition, exercise and overall health. Thank you so much Lisa for all your support.
I visited Lisa to improve my knowledge and understanding of how to eat a healthier diet that would aid me going through menopause and alleviate some of the symptoms and weight gain I had experienced, but also that fit in with feeding my family. Lisa listened to all of my concerns and we prioritised them and provided small changes every few weeks that I have implemented. I found it all manageable and we have all enjoyed eating a more varied diet, all of my symptoms have improved over the 3 months and I am inspired to continue the personalised changes to ensure I continue to see the benefits. Thanks Lisa!

If menopause symptoms are your main concern, EmpowerHer can consider reflux and digestive symptoms as part of your wider health picture. If persistent reflux is having the greatest impact on your life, the Reflux Programme may be the better starting point.
We can decide together during your free Health Chat.
Only if metabolic fasting is appropriate for you and you choose that pathway. Fasting should be personalised to your health, hormones, lifestyle and goals. It is not about eating as little as possible or forcing yourself through exhaustion.
Our priority is always to take a food first approach - changing habits and choosing foods that foster better health is always much more sustainable in the longer term. However sometimes a small number of supplements can help to correct nutrient deficiencies or support symptoms whilst you embed better habits into your day. We always aim to keep this to a minimum and affordable whilst respecting any decision you may make with regards to the recommendations. We do ask that you check with us before changing a supplement we have recommended or adding in anything additional as we will have checked our recommendations are safe with your current health concerns and any medication you may take.
Every person and health history is different. Some clients notice early changes in areas such as energy, digestion or sleep, while more complex or longstanding concerns may take longer.
Your progress will be reviewed throughout so your recommendations can be adjusted as your body responds. Results cannot be guaranteed, but you will be supported at every stage.
